This means they are able to use their own material for teaching purposes, to enable students to be well informed on the most recent, cutting-edge research in that particular area. “For example, one of our real estate lecturers, who is working in the industry, uses findings and case studies they’ve developed through their research and had published in journals, to inform our students about the latest technologies in real estate planning; one of our finance lecturers uses real stock exchange data from the Thomson Reuters data stream to simulate scenarios in stock movements and how they affect shareholders value. This is an example of how real life examples and real data can be used in teaching our students,” he chimes.
